I’m not sure when it clicked, but I’ve come to my senses. A million characters, even if their movements are simple, is too many. The new story:
VELMA is hosting a party. She rushes around trying to get everything ready in time for the guests to arrive. Time passes. She double checks everything, keeping her spirits up. Time passes and no one arrives. She receives a phone call, looks disappointed. Time passes. Finally, there is a knock at the door. It’s her neighbor BORIS! She pulls him inside for the party to start! But, no- Boris is baking this evening and he would just like to borrow some eggs. She gives him some eggs. Time passes. She receives another phone call. She looks disappointed. She sits on the couch. Who needs a stupid party anyway? Time passes. Finally, as the clock shows 3AM, the door bursts open and JOSEF flies in, ready to party! No, says, VELMA. The time has passed. But JOSEF insists. He puts on a party hat, he eats the hors d’oeuvres, he dances. Finally, VELMA relaxes and has fun too. A party is a party if you make it a party.
That’s where I’m at. I used some old names, added some new names, and completely changed the whole premise. Just completely ignore the first run through. I was just joking.
