More Things that I Appreciate (#12-15)

15 Jan

12.  The location of my home. It is in walking distance to everything, particular food eating places that I like or, you know, restaurants.

13.  Free educational resources – I don’t even know where to start. This topic deserves it’s own blog post, which it will get shortly. I’ve already commented on my gratitude for the interwebs as a broad, brilliantly fluid monster of  information (before those idiots break it), but more specifically it’s wonderful that individual people and organizations have taken to making it a place that has more use than just shopping and watching Biebler videos. Some examples of the educational resources:

These aren’t even the secret ones. It’s a nice thing, these smart people do for the rest of us.

14. Cute Animals. Look at this happy crow having a ball sledding

15. This.

I don’t have to explain myself to you.

Appreciation: #10 and #11

11 Jan

#10. Baked Brie and the fact that I get to go to trendy restaurants with good food. I’m grateful for the fact that Denver has tons of great places to eat and I’m grateful that I have the opportunity to go to these places. Yesterday, I went to Cholon (16th and Blake) for lunch and Vita (15th & Boulder) for dinner. At Vita, we had baked Brie, which was fantastic and delicious.

#11. Snow. Seriously. It was peaceful and quiet this morning with the giant snowflakes falling. And, luckily I didn’t have to drive (sorry Shad!).

Appreciation #9: My Work Area

09 Jan

I’ve been bitching about being moved from my spot at work. I’ve been taken from my window, stripped of my privacy, and moved to a lower floor (the six-teenth!). Woe is me! I have the worst life ever.

Today, I’m appreciative of my brand new, well lit, huge, work area and my new, very expensive and comfortable Herman Miller Aeron Chair with lumbar support.

It’s fun to not be a dick.
